Too hot for TikTok! 😏😎
Hi!
I finally did it! After secretly planning it for weeks, I started a TikTok!
And, well, let’s just say it’s off to a rough start.
Yep. My very first video got taken down before anyone had a chance to see it.
“Community Guidelines violation” is their way of saying my video was too hot for their taste.
I was fully clothed through the whole thing - Jake was too. But we were talking about boning, fooling around, and doing a little bit of, uh, “couple’s yoga.”
But that was enough to get the video flagged and removed.
Which sucks because that wasn’t even my dirtiest video idea. Not even close.
I can’t honestly say I’m surprised.
For one thing, this isn’t my first rodeo.
My blog posts abruptly stopped getting distributed on Medium earlier this year.
I have to be super careful about how I word things on Instagram so I don’t get shadowbanned.
And before this newsletter was on Substack, it was on Mailchimp - before their algorithm sniffed out all the naughty words I used and made me file an appeal before I could send it out.
But also, there’s the fact that TikTok is TikTok.
It’s a really fun platform, but it’s also notoriously bullshit when it comes to anything remotely adult. Creators get their videos removed and their channels taken down for content that’s pretty tame.
Some even reportedly get booted off because they have NSFW content off the app.
So yeah, I kinda saw it coming.
But I thought I’d at least get to have a bit of fun before they caught me.
I was willing to play ball, though.
I trimmed the video down. I cut out any mention of sex or anything sex-related. I made it as clean as I could possibly make it.
And I still got this.
Oh well.
Guess I’ll be a Clapper gal instead.
