It happened again.
I decided to move some furniture around.
I wanted a better home office. The room I was using was cozy - if “cozy” is a euphemism. It had terrible lighting, felt kind of cramped, and was slowly being taken over by my kitten.
So, I decided to switch things up and it’s been such a big improvement!
It feels cozy, but like actually cozy - not just small.
It’s brighter, has space for my houseplants, and enough room for the sex chair.
There was just one thing.
After shuffling stuff around, I was left with a dresser that kind of threw off the vibe.
It’s been through a few bedrooms. It’s paint is chipped and scuffed. One of the drawers keeps getting jammed.
It has potential, though. It fits perfectly in its corner. It has a nice big surface for - well, I don’t know what yet. And I could fit so many sex toys in it!
It just needs a little bit of love.
And I can’t tell you how excited I am about that.
I love the thrill of starting a new project. That’s when every part of it feels super promising, the ideas just keep coming, and none of the work that’s involved feels like work.
That’s why I decided to start a podcast when I was still trying to grow my blog.
It’s why I started a second podcast even though I sometimes struggle to keep the main one going.
It’s partly why I spent months preparing and practicing before launching my amateur porn sidehustle.
I guess it’s because I like to feel productive. I get kind of restless when I’m not sure what to do with myself.
It can be a bit of a problem, actually. I’m always tempted to do a little too much.
I came this close to starting a third podcast because I had an idea that was just too good to pass up. Then, I came up with a great title for it and it killed me not to use it.
Once in a while, I get it in my head that I should start livestreaming. Livestreaming what? I’m not entirely sure. When would I even have time to do it? I have no idea.
I dream of starting a YouTube channel that has nothing to do with sex. Not because I’m bored of sex - I just get the urge to find new creative outlets.
I don’t want to stretch myself out too thin, though. So, I’ll start with the dresser.
I’m not sure exactly what it will look like. I still have to get some paint, a few odds and ends, and enough time to turn it into the gorgeous piece of furniture I know it could be.
I have no clue when that’s going to happen. I’m a lot better at starting projects than I am at finishing them.
But with any luck, I’ll be sharing photos of finished results sometime in the future.
For now, here’s a shot of Karl. He hasn’t taken over the new office yet, but he did claim a little corner for himself.
