I shared my first blog post on February 1st, 2019 - almost exactly two years ago.
It wasn’t my first time publishing. I had been selling erotica through Amazon for months before that.
But it was the first time I was putting my real self out there. Blogging was going to be a space for my real-life stories, my thoughts, and my opinions.
I had no idea how it would go, but I loved it. There was something thrilling about being myself.
I wasn’t sure I could keep it up, but I’m really glad I did. It’s given me a real purpose, helped me connect with more people than I ever could before, and hopefully I managed to help a few people along the way too.
To commemorate two years of blogging, I put together some of the things I learned along the way. Some of them are about me, some of them are lessons, and some of them are just about what it’s like to write about your sex life for a living.
My first blog post was about Amazon - specifically, the restrictions that they put on sex and erotica writers.
So I guess it’s fitting that two years later, I wrote about Amazon again. This time, I share the reasons I don’t buy sex toys from them anymore.
It’s not because I’m too boujee for it - I still use my Prime membership for plenty of things.
But there are too many sketchy sex toys and sketchy sex toy sellers on the site to risk it.
Every gal enjoys a good pounding once in a while, so I put together a list of my favorite sex positions to hit it from behind.
Going at it that way feels dirty in a very good way. There’s lot of ass grabbing, hip squeezing, and spanking - all of which I fucking love. It tends to be hard and deep, which is exactly how you want it when you’re worked up and horny. And it can result in some screaming orgasms that will have her craving a second round.
What’s not to love about that?
And I noticed something unusual when I looked at the comments section of an Adult Time video. Some of the people who had watched Part 2 of Future Darkly’s Pandemic were downright livid.
They were pissed for one simple reason: the video didn’t have any sex at all. No masturbation, either. Not even a tiny bit of nudity.
I reviewed the first two parts of Pandemic and wrote about the flash of controversy it generated.
My articles are behind a paywall, but all of the links in this section are Friend Links. That means you can read them for free even without a Medium Membership.
If you want to get yourself a little something fun, here are some companies I love supporting!
If you haven’t heard of Future Darkly yet, it’s essentially the porn version of Black Mirror. It features dark, cynical stories with great shots and incredibly hot sex. If you want to check it out, you can sign up for Adult Time and use the code LOVEEMMA to save 20% on your first 30 days!
One toy that I can’t recommend enough is the Velvet Mini Teddy Thruster. It’s a thrusting dildo with a suction cup base that basically acts like a compact sex machine. It’s incredibly fun to play with and I just found out that they’ve released a new version with a curve designed for G-spot stimulation, which sounds like a fucking blast. If you want to try either one, you can get it from Betty’s Toy Box and use the code LOVEEMMA to save 10% on your entire order!
And if you want to treat a cock, there’s no better way to do it than with a Fleshlight. They’re perfect for making masturbation a lot more pleasurable and the best way to jazz up a handjob - or a blowjob if you try the Fleshlight Quickshot!
These are all affiliate links by the way. If you click them and make a purchase (or use one of my discount codes), I earn a small commission on the sale and you will be supporting my work.
Pillow Talk with Emma Austin
We had to skip another week. If you miss us, though, you can listen to one of our older episode.
You could check out our episode about whether Jake’s a cuckold (and if so, what kind of cuckold). We got lots of positive feedback on that one!
That’s also the episode where Jake got heart eyes for cottage porn and I talk about the time I sort of forgot about him when we were having a threesome.
New Friends With Benefits Episode!
This week, my Friends With Benefits got access to a bonus episode of the Pillow Talk podcast where Jake and I talk about my sex toy troubles.
Trying out lots of new sex toys is one of the perks of this job. But it doesn’t always work out as planned. Once in a while, I struggle with the toy before I actually get to use it properly and give it the review it deserves.
Jake and I decided to share the four most memorable instances of sex toy tests that didn’t go as planned.
If you want to hear it (and get two bonus Pillow Talk episodes every month), head on over to our Patreon and become one of our Friends With Benefits!
